ABOUT SENDERO OILFIELD SERVICES
Sendero Oilfield Services was founded by John Walker, a South Texas native, seventh-generation landowner, and lifelong oilfield professional. The name Sendero is fitting: in South Texas brush country, a sendero is a cleared path through dense brush, cut by hand, one pass at a time. That is how we approach every project — with patience, precision, and the determination to see it through.
John’s family has roots in South Texas stretching back generations, long before Texas earned its independence from Mexico. Raised in the ranching lifestyle near Freer, Texas, John grew up working cattle, managing habitat, and developing a deep respect for land, hard work, and the people who depend on both. That foundation shapes everything about how Sendero operates.
ABOUT JOHN WALKER — FOUNDER & PRESIDENT
John Walker is a graduate of Freer High School and attended Sam Houston State University and Texas A&M University, where he focused on agriculture and ranch management. After returning home to join the family’s ranching operation and business ventures in oilfield construction and mineral management, John built the experience and expertise that led to the founding of Sendero Oilfield Services.
As an operator himself — a bow hunter, cow/calf producer, and steward of South Texas land — John understands what upstream operators need and what it means to be accountable for results in the field. He brings that perspective to every project Sendero takes on.
With deep experience in oilfield construction and mineral management, John built Sendero on the belief that good work speaks for itself — and that the crews you trust with your field operations should be held to the same standards you’d hold yourself.

We are a boots-on-the-ground company. We do not manage projects from an office — we work them in the field.
